Quinn’s Arcade
Waimate
FEATURED PROJECT: COMMERCIAL DRAUGHTING & CONSENT
Builder: Hayden Tait Building
Draftline Service: Drafted Floorplans and Consent
Originally constructed in 1906 by William Quinn, the building holds a Heritage New Zealand Category 2 listing, recognising its historical and cultural significance. Initially designed as a 12-shop indoor arcade, the space evolved over the years into a movie theatre and billiards hall, before being repurposed for retail and storage after a fire in 1955.
Quinns Arcade remains a landmark of the Waimate District, and we’re proud to be part of its next chapter in restoration and renewal.
